Terms of Services

CaMSOb (Cambodian Multi-Sector Observatory) is an independent, subscription-based publication providing monthly briefings on Cambodia's political, economic, and governance landscape. CaMSOb is edited by Sopheak Ok Serei and published in English and Khmer. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CaMSOb's website, publications, and subscription services (collectively, the "Service").

Subscriptions & Products

CaMSOb offers the following products:

  • The CaMSOb Full Brief — a monthly analytical briefing, published in English and/or Khmer depending on your subscription tier.
  • The CaMSOb Digest — a monthly plain-language companion summary.
  • The CaMSOb International Relations Supplement — an optional, deeper-dive companion covering Cambodia's international relations, published on a rolling bi-monthly basis.

Subscription tiers and pricing (subject to change with reasonable notice):

  • English Only — $10/month or $100/year
  • Khmer Only — $8/month or $80/year
  • Both Languages — $12/month or $120/year

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are provided for the remainder of that period unless required by applicable law.

Copyright & Permitted Use

All content published by CaMSOb — including the Full Brief, Digest, and International Relations Supplement, in both English and Khmer — is the original work of CaMSOb and is protected by copyright. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable license to read and reference CaMSOb content for your own use.

Without CaMSOb's prior written consent, you may not:

  • Redistribute, republish, or forward CaMSOb publications, in whole or in part, to non-subscribers
  • Post, upload, or share CaMSOb content on public websites, social media, or file-sharing platforms
  • Use CaMSOb content to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models
  • Remove or alter any copyright notice, watermark, or attribution included in CaMSOb publications

Brief quotations for legitimate commentary, criticism, or journalism are permitted provided CaMSOb is clearly credited as the source.

Editorial Disclaimer

CaMSOb is compiled through research synthesis from publicly available sources, not independent fact-verification of the kind performed by a professional fact-checker or journalist. Every factual claim is attributed to named sources, but their underlying accuracy has not been independently confirmed by CaMSOb. This disclaimer is repeated at the end of each individual issue and applies equally here. Subscribers relying on CaMSOb content for decisions with material consequences — particularly regarding corruption, human rights, investment, or legal matters — should independently verify the most consequential claims against original source documents.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CaMSOb and its editor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance upon, the Service or its content. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Changes to the Service or These Terms

CaMSOb may update these Terms, its pricing, or the structure of its products from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email or through the Service with reasonable advance notice.
